The Occupational Psychology Centre Ltd (The OPC) is a team of occupational psychologists who provide practical and cost effective ways of improving performance, including safety, within organisations. OPC psychologists provide advice and services to support organisations to improve safety culture, selection, team effectiveness, organisational development, training and motivation.
OPC Assessment Ltd is a leading provider of psychometric tests and exercises designed to identify the capabilities of current employees or potential in job applicants. OPC Assessment have over 50 different tests and exercises contained within 5 Series including Customer Service, Professional and Safety.
Project Background - 2006 to 2008
Webcogs were commissioned in 2006 to provide a complete online solution comprising of a new website as well as a web application to allow them to manage and publish online interactive psychometric tests and exercises. A large and multi-faceted project from the outset, the finished system utilises cross-platform technologies both on the server and on the client.
The system allows The OPC's clients to issue tests to candidates who may subsequently login to take tests. Further, clients may generate dynamic PDF reports. The entire application is geared to allow The OPC to perform almost any task over the web without technical know-how, such as adding new tests and input scoring logic.
